2019 Wrap Up

2019 was a pretty incredible journey for me.

I mean incredible in the way that it can be both a good adjective and a bad one – the shock and disbelief that comes with the really good things and with the really rough things.

I haven’t shared any of these things (good or bad) on social media because I’ve been battling some pretty intense anxiety. I’ve had great help in that fight (more on that to come in future posts) and have really learned this year the ways I am honestly grateful for that struggle.

It has shaped me into a woman who hears and sees that same struggle in the lives of those around me and it has called me to step into the light in order to help with those struggles, despite its war on my emotions.

Last two pages of my June – December 2019 notebook.

As I wrapped up my notebook for 2019, I fittingly had exactly two pages left. I decided to use one to write down something I was proud of in each month in 2019 — even if it was a simple as running away to the beach for the weekend. The other, I wanted to use to commemorate each person or organization that was part of that journey.

First, I need to thank my fantastic team. The people who have come to stand beside me over the last year have truly made this process more rewarding and fun. I’ve cried over more video conference calls than I care to admit, but I’ve also given and received the most beautiful support I could have asked for. I am so grateful for the ways these people have laughed, cried, and collaborated with me. Some only could stay a short time, but I’m grateful for every contribution.

Secondly, I need to thank my wonderful clients. Each of my clients is doing something awesome in the world and I love getting to come alongside them and make their vision a reality. (Some clients with sensitive or private projects have not been listed, please know if you are not listed, you are still so loved!) I’ll be finally sharing some of the work we’ve done together in future posts.

Also, big thanks to Kim Cook from Elu, Allison Pastine from Maryland Virtual Counseling, and Frankie Simmons from Frankie Consults for all the work you’ve done to hold my brain together this year. (Also to family and friends that are like family who have done the same. You are so appreciated.

I don’t know where I’d be without them. But I do know I wouldn’t be here writing this post, so I am so grateful for all you’ve done and all you’re still doing to help me stand a little taller and shine a little brighter.

Thank you, each of you, for making 2019 an incredible year – but this time, when I say incredible, I mean really, really, good.

Are you ready to get started?
